Fred Peters is a West Coast Canadian artist who paints acrylics that are alive with bold colour. His landscapes and city scenes move with a sense of whimsy and style that has become recognized and sought after worldwide.

A self taught artist, Fred took up painting in 1996 as a diversion from his life working in road construction. This new creative outlet soon became a passion and changed his life dramatically.

'Painting has rejuvenated me. Through my work, I have become more aware. Inspiration surrounds me. Be it the natural realm or the city streets, I see a world full of life and energy. If there is a purpose to my art, it is to remind all of us to appreciate our lives and surroundings. My hope is that people who experience my art, derive as much pleasure from it as I get from creating it.'

Fred's style of painting has captured the attention of many. Demand for his unique perspective of the ordinary has gained him successful showings and representation at home on Vancouver Island and abroad in such locations as Vancouver, Calgary, New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. His work now resides in many private and corporate collections around the world.
